Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir took office as Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff on November 29, 2022, stepping into one of the country’s most influential roles amid challenging times.
His illustrious military journey, initiated in the 1980s and distinguished by his graduation from the Officers Training School with the Sword of Honor, has seen him command critical intelligence positions, including the prestigious role of Director-General of the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).
